The British Aerobatic Association (BAeA) in conjunction with On-Track Aviation Limited will be holding an Aerobatic Instructor Seminar and Training Day at Wellesbourne Mountford Aerodrome, near Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwickshire. This has been a very successful event over the years with many aerobatic instructors attending. For anyone interested in competition aerobatics or simply wanting to improve their own aerobatic flying it offers a fantastic oppotunity to meet with some of the worlds foremost aerobatic instructors and pilots. If you have ever wanted to fly a superb aerobatic aeroplane and have some great fun doing it this is the event for you.

Seminar Fee:
£5 BAeA Members £15 Non-members (includes BAeA membership for the duration of the event)
Members of BAeA affiliated organizations who have BAeA Club Membership get free entry

Who Should Attend:
The seminar is designed for instructors who are authorised by the CAA to give aerobatic instruction, especially those who are not familiar with competition aerobatics. Other pilots who are not instructors, but are new to competition aerobatics and would like to participate are welcome, but should contact Mrs Jen Buckenham before sending entry forms to the BAeA to check that places are available

Purpose:
The purpose is to explain what is involved with competition flying and show how BAeA competitions provide a structured and progressive path to developing aerobatic skills in a safe and supportive environment. Participation in competitions provides an excellent development route for pilots who have completed an Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) Aerobatics Certificate or EASA Aerobatic Rating and wish to continue learning more about aerobatics.

Aircraft:
Two seat aerobatic trainer aircraft will be available for hire, with experienced competition pilots/instructors. The organisers will try to make a range of aerobatic aircraft available for hire, including the possibility of Extra, Pitts S2A, C152 Aerobat, Chipmunk. Pilots who wish to fly their own two seat aircraft must be accompanied by a BAeA safety pilot. Participants may not enter in single seat aircraft.

The aerobatic box for the sequence will be a 1/2 size competition box due to the proximity of areas of population. Aerobatic Box

Participants will be briefed on flying the Instructors Sequence according to competition rules and procedures

Flight 1 - 30 mins
Each participant will be allowed to practice the sequence with an experienced competition aerobatic pilot/instructor away from the airfield and then fly the sequence overhead the airfield so that the figures can be judged from the ground

Each pilot will be given feedback on the quality of each
figure flown and a general critique of the way that the
complete sequence was flown
Flight 2 - 20 mins
Pilots will fly the same sequence overhead the airfield again
