General
In order to instruct and/or examine an EASA licence holder or a student under training for an EASA licence at an EASA ATO / DTO you need to hold an EASA licence with the privilege to instruct and/or examine
Alternatively, if you intend to conduct instruction or examinations outsidethe EASA member states at an EASA ATO / DTO then you can apply for FCL.900(c) and/or FCL.1000(c) certificate(s) from an EASA member state. The application is based on your ICAO licence instructor and/or examiner certificates. It is important to remember that the FCL.900(c) and FCL.1000(c) certificates do not allow you to exercise the privileges within any EASA member state territory
The ATO / DTO approval and your FCL.900(c) and/or FCL.1000(c) do not need to be from the same EASA member state. If your FCL.1000(c) is not from the same EASA member state as the pilot you are examining then you must follow the guidance in the EASA Examiners Differences Document when conducting examinations
The validity of the FCL.900(c) and/or FCL.1000(c) will be based on your ICAO licence instructor and/or examiner certificates expiry date(s)
Revalidation/renewal of the FCL.900(c) and/or /FCL.1000(c) certificates will be under the direction of the EASA member state which issued them. This is in addition to maintaining your ICAO licence, instructor and/or examiner certificate(s)
